Teenager arrested after boy stabbed in buttocks and slashed on wrist outside West Derby school
A teenage boy has been arrested after another boy was stabbed outside a school in West Derby in Liverpool.The victim, believed to be a pupil at the all boys high school in Tuebrook, was leaving at the end of the school day on Thursday 3 March, when he was attacked.According to Merseyside Police, the boy was stabbed in the buttocks and also suffered a slash wound to the wrist. He was rushed to hospital where he is in a stable condition.
Officers confirmed a teenager from Liverpool, was arrested on suspicion of assault following the attack on West Derby Road.In a statement, a spokesperson for the force said: "We have made an arrest following an assault on West Derby Road in Liverpool."A teenage boy was taken to hospital after he received puncture wounds to his buttocks and a laceration to his wrist at around 3pm today (Thursday 3 March)."He is in a stable condition and the injuries are not life threatening."A teenage boy from Liverpool has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He has been taken to a police station in Merseyside for questioning."The weapon has been recovered."
