Tributes have been paid to Liverpool celebrity hairdresser Herbert Howe, who's died aged 72 after a long battle with cancer.

Hundreds of people are expected to say a final farewell to Liverpool's celebrity hairstylist and charity fundraiser Herbert Howe.

His family have invited the public to attend a special funeral service later today at Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral

Herbert died from cancer last month at the age of 72.

Herbert of course will be leaving from his heart of homes, which is his dear and beloved salon "Herbert of Liverpool" Hanover street just before 1pm.

We will move through Hanover street onto Canning Place passing Merseyside Police Headquarters.

Then along the Wapping Dock, Parliament Street, Hope Street then of course leading the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral.

Once again we would like to thank you all for the thousands of messages, cards and love you have all sent and shown.

Tributes are being paid to Liverpool's celebrity hairstylist and charity fundraiser Herbert Howe, who's died from cancer at the age of 72.

He raised thousands with his charity Queenie's Christmas named after his late mother.

For decades it staged parties on Christmas Day and helped disadvantaged families

Colleagues and clients at his salon say he had a big personality and a big heart
