A man is due to appear in court charged with the murder of a 32-year-old man in Birkenhead.
The ambulance service was called to Whetstone Lane in Birkenhead, Merseyside, at about 2.40pm on Friday.
Ian Maddocks was taken to hospital with a number of injuries and was pronounced dead less than a hour later.
Doug Plumpton, 26, of Whetstone, Lane, Birkenhead was charged with his murder over the Easter weekend.
He was remanded in custody to appear at South Sefton Magistrates' Court today.
Police on Merseyside have arrested four men following a road traffic collision in the Birkenhead tunnel this afternoon.
At around 12.30pm, an outstanding stolen red/orange Ford Fiesta was sighted in the Upton area. Following further sightings, the vehicle was pursued towards Birkenhead where it collided with the wall in the Birkenhead tunnel. A man was detained and three further men were pursued on foot and detained close by. Nobody was injured but minor damage was caused to two vehicles.
Four men have been arrested on suspicion of theft of the motor vehicle and dangerous driving and taken to a police station for questioning.
The Birkenhead tunnel was closed in both directions but has now been opened again.
