Sand dunes along the Fylde Coast are home to Britain's rarest lizard. Sand lizards died in the 1960's but a conservation project is bringing them back.

Conservationists at Chester Zoo have released a group of tropical snails, which had previously been extinct for 15 years, into the wild.

Chester Zoo is welcoming a rare new arrival. The baby boy is a critically-endangered Sumatran orangutan.
