Granada First World War

The relative of an Indian solder who died in the First World War is calling for better commemoration of Commonwealth soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice. 

The outstanding Great War 1918 ‘Final Advance to Victory’ Victoria Cross group of five medals were awarded to 21-year-old Private James Towers.

As Remembrance Sunday approaches, efforts are being made to remember the contribution of thousands of women who kept the country going.
