Liverpool celebrates history of UK garage music
The history of UK garage music is being celebrated in Liverpool tonight as part of the annual Liverpool International Music Festival.
Some of the biggest names on the scene will take to the stage alongside classical orchestral musicians to create a unique sound.
Andy Bonner has been watching the rehearsals.
Life's a beach as Liverpool celebrates its musical heritage
Twenty tonnes of sand has been delivered to Liverpool's Sefton Park ahead of the city's International Music Festival.
The huge beach has been created by John Lennon Airport and will transform the greenery of the park into four beaches at the Children and Family Zone.
There will also be huts and a gigantic five metre high sandcastle housing a specially commissioned audio visual installation.
