All eyes on Belle Vue as the Speedway World Cup qualifiers come to town

The National Speedway Stadium at Belle Vue in Manchester is the venue for the inaugural Speedway of Nations.

Seven countries are battling it out in a tournament that sees teammates from the Belle Vue Aces become rivals for the night.

Rider in critical condition after IoM TT opening race

A rider who crashed after the Isle of Man's first TT race on Sunday is in critical condition at Nobles Hospital.

Davey Lambert, from Gateshead, crashed his bike in Greeba coming off the third lap of the Superbike race.

He received treatment at the side of the road whilst the race continued, which Yorkshire's Ian Hutchinson won.

Gearing up for Power and Speed festival

Salford Quays became a petrolhead's heaven as supercars, bikes and even boats converged to promote this year's Cholmondeley Power and Speed Festival.

Among the engines were a pair of north west motorsport stars. 2014 European Le Mans champion driver Oliver Webb was with superbike racer and four-time British Supermoto Champion Christian Iddon.

Both have their sights on breaking the lap record on the Cholmondeley estate, where the festival will run from June 10-12.

North West Superbike star on her role alongside Tom Cruise in the new Mission Impossible movie

Jenny Tinmouth is back on her bike at her home track in the latest round of the British Superbike Championship.

The Ellesmere Port racer is a fans favourite at Oulton Park. As well as being a star on the track she's also proving a star on the big screen.

The 37 year old is in the new Mission Impossible movie Rogue Nation. She was chosen to work alongside Tom Cruise as a stunt rider.

Our reporter David Chisnall tracked Jenny down to find out what it was like rubbing shoulders with the Hollywood A-lister.
