Homeless death investigation

Four teenagers have been arrested by police investigating the death of a homeless man in Liverpool.

53-year-old Kevin Bennett was found outside a shop on Walton Road a week ago with injuries to his face and body. He died in hospital.

Boy, 14, charged with murder

Merseyside Police have charged a 14-year-old boy with murder after the death of a homeless man in Liverpool.

Kevin Bennett, 53, was found outside a shop on Walton Road a week ago with injuries to his face and body.

He died in hospital on Thursday.

Police arrested five teenage boys in connection with the attack. The four others remain in police custody.

The boy who has been charged, who is from the Walton area of the city, will appear in court tomorrow morning.
