Hundreds of people have been forced to leave their homes after an explosion at a factory in Greater Manchester last night. Firefighters were called to Bury Road in Radcliffe after a gas main ignited a fire.

More than a hundred people were evacuated from their homes after an explosion at factory in Greater Manchester last night.

The blaze broke out at the industrial site in the Radcliffe area at around 9.45pm on Thursday night.

It is believed the building was empty but an investigation is underway.
