Police in Liverpool are treating an arson attack at a shop in Anfield as a hate crime.
Officers were called to Robinson News on Priory Road last night.
It was after two men, with their faces covered entered, the shop and verbably abused the shopkeeper.
They then threw what's thought to be an accelerant into the premises.
The 48 year old shopkeeper received serious injuries to his hands and arms trying to put out the blaze.
A resident from the flat above managed to escape unhurt.
