The father of Nicola Huges the young policewoman murdered by Dale Cregan in Manchester is preparing for the toughest physical challenge of his life, to raise money in her name.
Bryn Hughes will take part in the North Pole marathon, trekking along 26 miles of ice, in temperatures that could reach -35.
He will raise money for the victims of violent crime and the families of police officers killed in the line of duty.
He sets off in April and says he just wants to make Nicola proud.
