More than 1000 foster families needed in the North West

At least 1,200 new foster families are needed across the North West during 2015 to provide stable, secure and loving homes for record numbers of fostered children. The startling findings are in a new report by the fostering network. The report said a growing number of children are coming into care and with 13 per cent of foster carers retiring or leaving the service in 2014 there's a need to recruit more and better utilise the current pool of carers.
