From today so-called legal highs are now banned under new laws.
This is just a day after the owner of a shop selling legal highs and a shop worker were arrested in Greater Manchester after nine people fell ill after taking substances.
The government hopes the new ban should help to curb the use of psycho-active drugs. But there are fears they could now simply move underground to illegal street markets and the dark web.
Ralph Blunsom has been to meet some of those directly affected by the ban.
