A university lecturer from Cheshire's been killed by a shark off the coast of Australia.
Doreen Collyer, from Neston, was attacked by a 16 foot great white shark, while she was out diving near Perth. Local Police said her diving partner pulled her from the water but she died before making it back to shore. The 60-year-old was said to be an experienced diver. She'd emigrated to Western Australia to teach children's nursing 5 years ago. The beaches in the area have been closed to the public. Shark hunters are now trying to capture and destroy the animal.
