A man from Salford has been jailed for 22 years for a number of counts of sexual abuse against children.

47-year-old David Glausiusz was sentenced at Minshull Street Crown Court after being found guilty of three counts of rape and six of sexual assault against a child. He was also found guilty of three counts of child cruelty and three counts of assault.

Police said Glausiusz convinced his victims they would not be believed if they reported the crimes.

The astounding bravery shown by those who suffered at the hands of Glauciusz has helped put a stop to his prolific and frankly evil actions.

We are determined to continue working with a range of partners to safeguard victims and prosecute offenders and I’d like to recognise the valiant steps his victims have taken to put him behind bars.
