Liverpool's Hope & Glory Festival has been cancelled.
The festival, which is in its first year was due to continue today after a chaotic opening day which saw overcrowding and delays to the schedule.
This morning, a post was added to the festival's Facebook page informing of the cancellation.
The organisers had earlier issued a statement to say that festival would go ahead despite the problems on Saturday.
Tonight Ocean Colour Scene, Hacienda Classical and The Lightning Seeds had all been due to perform.
Tim Booth, lead singer of Manchester's James and Charlotte Church both expressed their frustration at the event last night.
So far the organisers have declined to offer an official statement on the cancellation.
