Coastguards in Douglas on the Isle of Man were called to a man and his dog stuck on a cliff face at Little Ness, Marine Drive this morning.

The man had climbed down to rescue his dog and was not able to get back up.

Douglas Coastguards were able to get a line to the man to secure the dog while a technician was lowered and secured the man for recovery.

Both were brought back to safety and the rescue was complete in just under an hour.
