Man arrested after four hurt in plane crash

A man's been arrested after a light aircraft crashed shortly after take off from City Airport, Barton.

Four people were on board and all walked way with minor injuries.

Police investigating the incident in September executed warrants at two addresses near Blackpool.

A 51-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of endangering an aircraft, fraud by false representation and other air navigation order offences.

Police are appealing to anyone who saw the collision or has any other information to get in touch.

"This is a complex investigation that has been undertaken in conjunction with the Civil Aviation Authority.

"Thankfully those involved in the collision are well on their way to recovering from their injuries, but we still need to make sure those responsible are held to account."
