Coronation Street's Kym Marsh is helping families who lose a baby

Coronation Street's Kym Marsh is to help fund a counselling service for recently bereaved families.

Kym is raising money in memory of her baby son Archie, after the soap's storyline mirrored her real life tragedy.

She's supporting the Mariposa Trust, which helped her and her family through the ordeal of losing Archie.

Mariposa support anyone who has been affected by the loss of a child at any stage of pregnancy, at birth or in infancy.

Kym is holding Archie's Footprint Ball - named in memory of her son - to raise funds for Mariposa.

It will be held on February 10th at Manchester's Hilton Hotel on Deansgate.
