Eleven people have been arrested following drug raids in Greater Manchester and Staffordshire.

Officers executed searches at nine addresses including properties in Manchester, Oldham and Salford as part of a crackdown on drugs code-named Operation Friction.

The eight men and three women were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply controlled Drugs. They all remain in custody for questioning.

This investigation wouldn’t be successful without the help and support of local communities.

“We will never tolerate drugs on our streets and we will do everything we can to stamp it out.

“If you suspect drug dealing in your area please report it to police immediately.”
