As part of an ongoing dispute into guards over guards on trains Northern services will stop running at 5pm tomorrow as workers go on strike.
The action will be replicated every Saturday until the end of the year. The company say extra staff will be on hand at Manchester Piccadilly station to help passengers affected but people should be mindful of the reduced Northern service.
Passengers can also check www.nationalrail.co.uk for further train information.
Meanwhile, ongoing engineering work on the electrification of the Manchester to Preston line continues on Saturday, where buses will replace trains between Wigan Wallgate and Manchester.
