Big ride for cycle safety

Thousands of people have ridden their bikes in a mass rally to call on the Mayoral candidates to make London safer for cyclists.

Campaigners say they want the capital to become as friendly as Holland for people travelling on two wheels.

In total, there are seven candidates standing in the Mayor of London election on May 3.

In the order that they will appear on the ballot paper, they are:

Siobhan Benita (Independent)

Carlos Cortiglia (BNP)

Boris Johnson (Conservative)

Jenny Jones (Green)

Ken Livingstone (Labour)

Brian Paddick (Liberal Democrat)

Lawrence James Webb (UKIP)
