An appeal has been launched to find new homes for eight abandoned puppies left dumped in a closed holdall in Peckham.
The litter was discovered by a dog walker on Saturday in a bag which had been zipped shut. The puppies, which are about seven weeks old, were taken to the Blue Cross Animal Hospital in central London. They have now been moved to a rehoming home in Oxfordshire.
The dogs have been named Denise, Lisa, Victoria, Kimberley, Nicky, Louis, Michael and Dani after the stars of the TV show Strictly Come Dancing. Louise Lee from Blue Cross said they were named after the dancers because the puppies were constantly wriggling and looked like they were dancing.The charity says any potential owners should go to the .
