Motorists, delivery drivers and cabbies felt the impact of today's teachers' strike as a union march caused gridlock in the West End.
Traffic was halted as thousands of members of the NUT set off along Regent Street. Cab drivers and passengers caught up in the congestion reacted with anger as they sat in long queues.
One cabbie told ITV News he was furious the teachers were allowed to march in Regent Street in the middle of the day.
Passengers complained about being late for important meetings and expressed frustration at "ticking" meters.
