West Ham's co-chairman, David Gold, has denied hinting that Sam Allardyce could soon be sacked after he favourited a derogatory tweet.

West Ham's manager has clashed recently with Gold over whether midfielder Ravel Morrison still has a role to play at the club. Allardyce has also been ordered to deliver 'an improved style of football ' this season.

David Gold was sent this message by a West Ham fan - which he favourited. 'BFS' is an unflattering reference to Sam Allardyce.

Rumours of the West Ham manager's demise grew after Gold's daughter sent this tweet.

However David Gold, a prolific tweeter, explained his actions today.
