Police hunting the attacker following the assault at Holborn have released an image of a man they want to speak to. The attack happened on November 19.

The victim, a 34-year-old woman, was making her way towards the Piccadilly line platform via the escalator, when she was attacked by a man.

The man struck her in the face leaving her with a large gash to her nose which required stitches, as well as bruising and swelling to her face.

The man fled the scene and officers believe he boarded a Piccadilly line train, at around 11pm.

This was a completely unprovoked and frightening attack which left the victim with nasty injuries.
