Young muslim leader blames fellow imams for the 'cancer' of radicalisation
A young muslim leader at London's biggest mosque today blamed fellow imams for the 'cancer' of radicalisation.
Abdul Quddus, 25, an imam at the Baitul Futuh mosque in Morden, visits colleges and universities to try combat messages of extremism.
He believes too many religious clerics fail to grasp the impact of their teaching on impressionable young minds.
Quddus said despite the efforts of moderate muslims, radicalisation was a growing problem.
Quddus said muslims should be comfortable with the security service, MI5 and accept loyalty to their country is an integral part of their faith.
