Shaker, Aamer, the last British detainee in Guantanamo Bay gives a disturbing account of his torture, in his own words and he claims British spies witnessed the abuse.
The interview was recorded by Emily Keram, a doctor asked to assess his mental and physical well-being.
The transcript, obtained by a national newspaper, also details how he was kept awake for days on end. If we tried to close his eyelids a guard would beat him he said.
Shaker Aamer who lived in South London has never been charged and remains a prisoner despite being cleared for release, by the Bush administration in 2007, and by Barack Obama in 2009.
