A man has been arrested by police investigating the death of a driver hit by a lorry on the M25.
The accident is believed to have happened when the driver’s car hit the central reservation between junctions 29 and 28, near Brentwood.
He pulled over on to the hard shoulder and got out of his car.
It was then that he was hit by a lorry.
The driver of the lorry briefly stopped, but then left, say investigators.
Next of kin have been told and formal identification is yet to take place.
Police have bailed the man, in his 20s, who was arrested on Friday on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
Any witnesses or anyone with information on the accident, which happened just before 9pm on Thursday 31 March, should call 020 8597 4874.
