Karren Brady the West Ham vice-chair has confirmed that Chelsea football club have approached the club over a ground share of the Olympic Stadium.

Brady says tenants West Ham, not stadium owners the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC), will have the final say on whether Chelsea can make use of the 60,000 capacity ground, according reports.

Chelsea asked to come and have a look at our new home and I showed their people around.

They commented it was one of the best football stadia in the world and that’s because it is.

– Karren Brady the West Ham vice-chair speaking to The Sun

The Blues are expected to spend three seasons away from Stamford Bridge starting no earlier than 2017.

That's when redevelopment work is likely to begin to increase the capacity of the Blues’ home to around 60,000.
