The southbound platform at the station was closed for an hour as London Ambulance Service crews treated the man at the scene.

The Jubilee Line was initially suspended from Waterloo to Finchley Road.

There are now severe delays on the entire line, which a Transport for London spokesman said was likely to be the case through rush hour.

We sent ambulance crews and an incident response officer to the scene, alongside London’s Air Ambulance. The first of our medics arrived within six minutes.

We treated a man at the scene for head and pelvic injuries and took him as a priority by road ambulance to a major trauma centre in central London, accompanied by a doctor from London’s Air Ambulance.
