PC Ricky Haruna believed to have been reinstated as Met Police agrees settlement

For PC Ricky Haruna it was never about the money.

When she was forced out of the job she loved she fought back.

She was sacked for gross misconduct from the Metropolitan Police last June but always maintained this only happened after she'd made a claim of racism against a fellow officer.

She was later reinstated with full pay after a successful internal appeal against her dismissal.

The officer then continued to pursue the force at an Employment Tribunal.

Today the Met confirmed the case had been settled but refused to elaborate on the size of the pay out.

The employment tribunal claim brought by PC Haruna has been settled by mutual agreement and with no admission of liability.

We do not discuss the terms of settlement agreements.

PC Haruna is now believed to be back on full time duty.
