47-year-old old killed in west London bus crash

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a male pedestrian was killed in a collision involving a bus.

Emergency services were called after about 5.30am to Great Chertsey Road, Chiswick.

They found a 47-year-old man who was fatally injured. He died shortly after at the roadside.

His next of kin have been told about his death and a post-mortem examination will take place over the coming few days.

The driver of the bus stopped at the crash site and has not been arrested.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the events leading up to the incident or the collision between the pedestrian and the bus, which was out of service at the time.

Despite the time of morning there would have been a number of other road users around and they are keen to hear from anyone who has any information.
