Murder investigation launched after teenager stabbed to death in Wembley

Police have launched a murder investigation after a teenager was stabbed to death in north west London.

Emergency services including London's Air Ambulance were called at about 1.30pm on Saturday to Buddings Circle, Wembley.

They found an 18-year-old who had been repeatedly stabbed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they believe they know the identity of the teenager but are waiting for formal identification before they name him.

His family have been told of his death.

A post-mortem was held yesterday and gave the cause of death as stab wounds.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
