A murder investigation has begun after a 33-year-old man was stabbed to death in north London.

Police were called at 3.20am to Station Road in Wood Green, outside the Jolly Anglers pub on Saturday morning. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man has been identified as Vincent Harvey. His next of kin have been informed.

A post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.

It has been established there was a large number of people in and around the Jolly Anglers pub at the time Vincent was stabbed.

It is vital that anyone who saw this incident, or the events leading up to the incident, get in contact with police.

While work continues to piece together Vincent's movements prior to his murder, I would directly appeal witnesses to come forward and speak to officers - you may hold invaluable information to assist us in this investigation.
