A met police officer who was filmed by a motorist smashing his car windscreen has been charged today with four offences.
The charges are in relation to a stop and search in Camden last September.
Pc Joshua Savage was charged with possession of a bladed article, criminal damage, common assault and threatening behaviour.
Savage and a colleague had been conducting a stop-and-search of a car that was filmed by the driver. Savage demanded the driver get out of his vehicle and when he refused began hitting the windscreen causing the glass to shatter. The driver, who was stopped in a case of mistaken identity, was not arrested.
After an IPCC investigation the Crown Prosecution Service announced today it had charged Pc Savage with four offences.
