The 23-year-old had been on a night out with her friend when they left a bar in Croydon to get into a taxi they had booked.

But they found four men by their taxi and one got inside shutting the rear passenger door behind him.

When she told him it was her taxi and asked him to get out they started arguing before he got out and threw a punch over the open door.

A passing patrol car was flagged down and the woman was taken to hospital.

The suspect is described as a black man, aged approximately 25-30 years old, with a black beard. He was wearing dark top and jeans.

This was a nasty assault on a young woman which left her hospitalised as a result of an injury to her eye.

Thankfully she has made a full recovery, but we ask the public to help us identify this man so we can bring him to justice.
