ubitricity has developed its unique charging points to fit inside ordinary streetlights. By utilising existing street furniture, this means there is no additional street clutter, costs are significantly lower enabling more sockets to be rolled out and there is minimal visual impact on the urban environment.

Tackling Air quality is the number one priority for me and for this council, and our Low Emission Neighbourhood is trailing some groundbreaking technologies, including these new charging points.

But more important than that, this is about finding ways to maintain London’s famous hustle and bustle but make sure that the air we breathe no longer threatens the lives of the people that live and work here.

Ten more charge points will be installed in:

  • Hounslow
  • Richmond
  • Kensington and Chelsea
  • Westminster
  • Barnes
