Teenager dies after being stabbed in a house before collapsing in the street

A teenager has died after he was stabbed in a house before stumbling outside and collapsing in the street.

The 19-year-old man was stabbed around 3:50pm on Sunday in Streatham, south London.

Police provided first aid until paramedics and air ambulance doctors arrived, but he died at the scene.

A 23-year-old man was arrested at the address initially on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm but subsequently further arrested on suspicion of murder.

Police were called at 3.50pm on Sunday to reports of an injured man in Hopton Road.

Officers attended and found the man, aged 19, suffering from a stab wound.

They immediately provided first aid until the arrival of the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene at 16:39hrs. His next of kin have been informed.

Formal identification and a post-mortem examination will be held in due course.

At this early stage, it is believed that the stabbing occurred inside an address in Hopton Road, with the victim making his way outside after being stabbed before collapsing from his injuries.
