Brace yourselves - more heavy snow and even colder weather on the way in London

Heavy snow caused widespread disruption on roads and rail and led to the cancellation of dozens of flights at London's airports.

Sub zero temperatures meant hazardous conditions for commuters and we're being warned of worse to come with more heavy snow and even colder conditions due over the next 48 hours.

There is still a yellow weather warning in place for London and the surrounding counties meaning we should be aware of more bad weather on the way.

Among the disruption today, a crash on the M1 closed the motorway into London.

There have been flights cancelled at Heathrow, Gatwick and at City Airport. Highlight Victoria and there have been problems on the Tube and the train too.
