Detectives are asking for help to identify a man caught on camera before a burglary at a South East London home. It happened on Tuesday 27th March in Oaklands Road in West Wickham. At around 8:30pm the suspect entered the kitchen and spotted an internal security camera. He then covered his face before switching the camera off.

Jewellery and perfume belonging to the homeowner's late parents was stolen. The 71-year-old resident was out at the time.

This was a brazen burglary which has left an elderly man feeling unsafe in his own home and I would urge anyone with information to get in touch.

Anyone who recognises the suspect is asked to contact police on 101 and quote CAD 8387/27Mar or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
