Two injured in an acid attack just yards from King's Cross station

Two men have been injured in an acid attack near King's Cross station.

Police were called to Argyle Street at lunchtime after a fight broke out. A worker at a nearby McDonalds said two men came in with burns on their faces. Accompanied by police officers they asked for bottles of water.

Police were called at 1.33 on Tuesday, February 12 to reports of an altercation between two groups of males on Argyle Square, Bloomsbury.

All parties had left the location before officers arrived at the scene.

Two men were later found nearby with facial injuries reported to have been caused by a corrosive substance.

They have been taken to a nearby hospital; we await an update on their condition.

No arrests have been made.
