Man who died in hotel lobby in Euston after being stabbed is named as Bright Akinlele

Police have named a man who died in the lobby of a luxury hotel after being stabbed in the street in central London.

Officers said Bright Akinlele, 22, walked into the hotel in Euston Street, Camden, shortly before 10.45pm on Monday.

Formal identification is yet to take place but police are "confident" the victim is Mr Akinlele.

A post-mortem examination found his death was caused by a stab wound to the leg. His family has been told.

Police and ambulance services were called to The Wesley hotel and he was pronounced dead at the scene at 11.31pm.

Hotel staff were left in "complete shock" by the incident, according to The Wesley's chairman of directors, Reverend Stuart Burgess.

Seven women and four men, aged between 19 and 28, were arrested at an address in Camden on suspicion of murder. They have been released on bail to return to police on a date in mid-March pending further inquiries.
