A 31-year-old man was arrested in Slough on Friday afternoon on suspicion of murder.

Chief Superintendent Sally Benatar, who leads the Met’s South West Command Unit, said:

My thoughts are with the family and friends of the two victims.

I want to reassure members of the community that this was an isolated incident. Having arrested a man this afternoon, we are not looking for anybody else in connection with the two deaths.

I would like to express my thanks to emergency services colleagues, including Thames Valley Police who have supported our response to this incident.
