A group of care home residents took to the ice in slippers and wheelchairs during a day out on 'Make Your Dreams Come True Day'.

CHD Living brought together people from all stages of care to enjoy a day out at the Guildford Spectrum.

For people like Jean getting on the ice in slippers and a wheelchair is the perfect way to do it for someone who last skated 60 years ago. "I used to cling to the barrier, I was always falling over", she said.

Another of CHD Living's residents is Rosie who's now got the skating bug. "It's freedom. I'm desperate to get on the ice", said Rosie.

And Kay, aged 96, says she didn't feel her age once she got on the ice."Being here has made me feel 18 again! It really has. I so enjoyed it", she said.
