An elderly man and woman are in hospital after what is believed to have been a domestic incident in north London.
Scotland Yard says the woman has life-threatening injuries, while the man suffered stab wounds which are not thought to be life-threatening. Both are thought to be in their 70s.
Police were called soon before 8.30pm to a residential address in Southgate Road, N1, and found the man with stab wounds and the woman, who was unresponsive.
The woman was initially thought to have also been stabbed, but it was later confirmed she had not been, police said in a statement.
No arrests have been made and no other details were available.
