A Buckinghamshire hair salon today showed off it’s ‘Covid secure’ procedures to keep staff and customers safe.

The government is said to be considering July 4th as a possible reopening date for hairdressers and barbers.

Managers at Gatsby & Miller in Amersham have devised a series of post-lockdown measures to bypass social distancing rules.

Customers booking an appointment will have to confirm they have no symptoms and advise of any recent travel. Stylists will wear plastic aprons, gloves, masks and visors.

Angled perspex screens above basins will allow staff to wash a customer’s hair.

Clients will be issued with individual packs of disposable PPE including towels, gowns, capes, masks and gloves.

I think we've put in place as much as we can. We feel confident that we have done all that we can up to this point with the government guidelines that we've been given so far. 'I think we're all very eager to come back. We're ready.
