Children's homes are supposed to be places where young vulnerable people are kept safe and protected. But a special investigation by ITV News London has exposed the horrific abuse which went on in one home in Lambeth.

You've probably never heard of the Melting Pot - there are no photographs of the privately run homes for black children, no evidence of them left in Brixton and little public information available.

But the children who were housed there before it closed in 1994 will never forget what happened.

Now adults, they are are sickened that a compensation scheme for children abused in other homes in the borough does not include them.

A warning, this report from our Senior Correspondent Ronke Phillips, contains graphic and harrowing details of abuse from the start.
