CCTV released in hunt for cyclist after pensioner dies in Tower Hamlets crash

Police are releasing an image of a man they want to speak to following a fatal collision in Tower Hamlets. Officers were called at approximately 17:05hrs on Friday, 3 July to Bow Road, E3, near Thames Magistrates' Court, to reports of a collision involving a cyclist and a pedestrian. London Ambulance Service attended the scene and the pedestrian, 72-year-old Peter McCombie, was taken to hospital in a critical condition with serious head injuries.

Detectives have released CCTV images of a cyclist after a 72-year-old man died following a crash.

Peter McCombie suffered serious head injuries when he was struck by a bike in Tower Hamlets, east London, on July 3, He died in hospital eight days later.

The cyclist failed to stop and is believed to have abandoned his bike nearby before running off. The Metropolitan Police have released CCTV images in a bid to trace him.
