The family of a pensioner killed after being struck by a cyclist in east London have appealed for a man seen on CCTV to come forward.

Peter McCombie, 72, was left with serious head injuries when he was hit by the bike in Tower Hamlets, east London, on July 3. He died in hospital eight days later.

The cyclist failed to stop and is believed to have abandoned his bike nearby before running off. Peter’s sister, Christine, said it "was hard to put into words" the effect losing Peter had on the family.
